
Sean began his career in the Oil & Gas industry in 2005 as an intern with Carbon Steel Inspection (CSI) while completing his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh. Upon graduation, he joined CSI full time in April of 2007, demonstrating strong technical aptitude and leadership potential. In 2008, he was entrusted with establishing a regional Houston office for CSI, a role that underscored both his professional maturity and his capacity to support organizational growth.
Over the past thirteen years, Sean has advanced his career through positions with Petrochem, Intertek, ALS, Advanced Inspection Technologies, and, most recently, Foley Specialty Services. His professional expertise centers around electromagnetic testing, with a primary focus on tube inspection. He earned his ASNT Level III certification in August 2016 and has accumulated nineteen years of Eddy Current, Remote Field, and Near Field Testing analysis and reporting experience. In addition, he has successfully completed numerous bundle qualification examinations and has served as a lead analyst or supervisor on both small scale and large-scale turnarounds throughout his career.
Beyond his technical responsibilities, Sean is committed to advancing industry knowledge through training and education. He has developed and delivered a range of instructional programs focused on Eddy Current, Remote Field, and Near Field Testing acquisition and analysis, contributing to the professional development of technicians across the industry. He also conducts a four (4) hour “Tube Testing 101” course at customer facilities, designed to illustrate the standards of a high quality tube inspection which can be recognized for API credit. Sean remains dedicated to maintaining proficiency with the latest electromagnetic technologies, ensuring that his work reflects the highest standards of technical excellence.
